PhotoSynth – M35 2.5 ton REO Cargo Truck

M35 2.5 ton REO Cargo Truck

While at Weald Country Park with the Medieval Siege Society I came across this American Cargo Transport Vehicle parked up next to the battle field.

The M35 family of trucks is a long-lived vehicle initially deployed by the United States Army, and subsequently utilized by many nations around the world. A truck in the 2 1/2 ton weight class, it was one of many vehicles in US military service to have been referred to as the “deuce and a half.”

The basic M35 cargo truck can legally carry 5000 pounds across country or 10,000 pounds over roads, they have been known to haul twice as much as rated. Trucks in this weight class are considered medium duty by the military and Department of Transportation. The M35 series formed the basis for a wide range of specialized vehicles.

PhotoSynth – Natural History Museum Main Hall, London

Natural History Museum Main Hall, London, EnglandOn a Recent day trip in London I happened to spend some time at the Natural History Museum, and wanted to see what I could do with Microsoft’s PhotoSynth.

With its cathedral-like structure, frescoes and sculptures, the Museum’s Central Hall forms a fantastic backdrop to some of the highlights of the Museum’s collection including a Diplodocus skeleton and a 1,300-year-old giant sequoia. Charles Darwin’s famous statue sits at the top of the hall’s grand staircase.
